To celebrate we are planning Sommerfest
on Sunday, August 12th!
Join us at the Emerson Park (Perkins Street, Peabody) on Sunday, August 12th for German beer, food and music, lawn games, bubble soccer and volleyball in a family friendly afternoon! Event will be from 11 AM to 5 PM.
Tickets are on sale at the store, or through the link below. Children under 5 are free and do not require a ticket.
Tickets include a limited edition Anniversary Stein, Entertainment and all Activities. Food and beverages are separate. The first 1500 Adult tickets will receive a special Anniversary Ceramic Stein for use at the beer tent and for you to take home. The first 300 junior tickets also receive a special Anniversary plastic soda cup for the event and to take home.

Cornhole and other lawn games
6 hours of Live German Hofbrau music complete with Alpine Horn, performed by the Tubafrau Hofbrau Band.
They are a lively traditional German oompah band that appears throughout Massachusetts and New England as part of many Oktoberfest celebrations. Tuba Frau Hofbrau performs German, Swiss, Austrian and Bavarian music, such as polkas, waltzes, marches, gallops, schottisches, landlers, and other lively dance music. They also do sing-alongs and as noted above, they feature the Alpine horn or Alphorn in some of their musical selections. Group members are highly skilled professional musicians who perform all over the world with well-known bands and orchestras. Don’t miss Leslie Havens play the authentic Alphorn which is played in the Bavarian and Swiss Alps!

Food and Beer
Parking is available at on the street and also at the Higgins School which is just down the street from the park. We suggest carpooling when you can and deciding on a designated driver.
Handicapped Parking: we will designate several handicapped park spots on the street next to the Park.
Other Things to know
Karl’s 60th Anniversary Sommerfest will be held rain or shine. We will have tents over the food area with limited seating and a dance area protected from rain or the scorching sun. All food tents will be open regardless of weather. The beer trucks are near the food area and covered as well.
Please bring lawn chairs, blankets, water bottles, and sun screen. With all the activities and the large soccer fields you may want to move around throughout the day. Bring comfortable shoes to allow you to play Bubble soccer or the Big ball Volleyball.
No coolers, dogs or smoking please. These are the rules from the city as these are city parks.
Cash, Credit Cards / ATMs
Cash, credit cards or debit cards are accepted at the entrance for tickets, by all vendors, beer stations and food stations. There are no ATMs near the field, please bring cash or cards.
